Berkeley Varitronics Systems Announces Komodo DAS Signal Generator Today

Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. (BVS), a leading provider of advanced wireless test solutions and security products to the domestic and international wireless telecommunications industry, has announced the Komodo DAS Signal Generator recently.

Komodo provides up to six continuous wave signals used in cell phone communications in ranges from 100 MHz all the way up to 6 GHz to support the design, verification, and optimization of in-building wireless networks. The key advantage offered by six transmit signals that are internally combined thru one RF output connector is the ability to test six unique frequencies during a single walk test, reducing total testing time.

Over the past 20 years Berkeley Varitronics Systems (BVS) has designed and manufactured the industry’s most popular stimulus test transmitters including Gator, Tortoise, Lizard and Dragon. BVS transmitters have become the industry’s choice for their light weight, ruggedness and pure power output and Komodo promises to be no different.

Komodo features up to six independent, NIST traceable calibrated modules with frequencies from 100 MHz up to 6 GHz that output through an internal combiner. This allows any combination of bands in order to replicate the actual indoor networks that will eventually be installed. The rugged chassis is battery-powered for uninterrupted and remote operation from any test site. The Komodo also features a 7” touchscreen LCD all in a lightweight design that is easy to transport and allowing for any field engineer ease of setup and operation.

"BVS has a long-standing tradition of providing the industry’s best test solutions," said Scott Schober, BVS CEO & President ."Komodo continues that tradition by providing six simultaneous RF CW outputs during a single walk test measurement thus saving time and money," added Schober.
