Chinese Language Textbook On RF/Microwave Circuit Design Features NI AWR Software

A new textbook featuring the use of NI AWR software is now available exclusively in simplified Chinese from Xidian University Press. The Manual for RF Circuit Design and Simulation presents background information and practical examples for using Microwave Office and Analog Office circuit design software, the AXIEM planar and Analyst 3D finite-element method (FEM) electromagnetic (EM) simulators and Visual System Simulator (VSS) system design software.

The book focuses on the theory and design simulation methods for various types of RF microwave circuits, including power splitters, couplers, filters, impedance matching and transformation, power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) and microstrip antennas. Design examples are presented that cover multilayer planar circuits, arbitrary 3D structures, communication systems, RF link budgets and more.

“This comprehensive manual is a big step forward in providing local language support for NI AWR software products, as well as for RF/microwave education in China,” said Lars van der Klooster, director of Asia-Pacific operations, AWR Group, NI. “It provides the basics of RF active and passive circuit design and EM simulation, as well as system simulation, and has broad suitability as a valuable reference for both RF/microwave design engineers and college students majoring in communication, electronic information, microelectronics and other related majors.”
