Planar Inverted F Antenna
PIFA, the internal antenna design of choice. This style of internal antenna offers the greatest performance and excellent front to back (FB) ratio. By utilizing handset components, the PIFA maximizes ground plane efficiency and sensitivity in both the horizontal and vertical polarizations.
Meander Line Antenna
Meander line antenna is a type of miniaturized printed antenna. The small size is accomplished by embedding the wire structure on a diectric substrate.
Microstrip Antenna
Microstrip antenna is a low profile structure easily adaptable for planar integration.
Combination External/Internal Antenna
This concept consists of an internal antenna used as the primary antenna and an external retractable whip antenna when higher performance is needed. The internal antenna is deactivated when the whip antenna is extended.
