Sirenza Microdevices' SZA-5044 power amplifier, specifically designed for WLAN 802.11a and WiMAX 802.16 applications, features 22dBm linear output power at 3% EVM and has 28 dB gain from a 5V supply. This 4.9-5.9 GHz, 1W PA is ideal for either final output stage or linear driver amplifier applications. The SZA-5044 is matched to 50 Ohms on the input and requires a simple output matching circuit Housed in a 4X4 mm² QFN package, this part provides full amplifier functionality including, active bias, power up/down control, and an on chip output power detector. The SZA-5044 has excellent reliability and robustness with a junction temperature below 100 ºC at 70 ºC lead and has an ESD rating above 1000V (HBM).

Sirenza's SZA-5044 is available in full production quantities.
