The RF2498 tri-band quad-mode CDMA/GPS front end device is a highly linear front end featuring stepped gain control, adjustable bias current and adjustable IIP3 for optimal design flexibility. Manufactured in advanced SiGe BiCMOS and GaAs HBT process technologies, this product offers superior performance and increased functionality at a very competitive price.

Featuring a dedicated GPS receive front end and three-state gain control to exceed cellular band IMD test requirements, the RF2498 also offers a divide-by-two prescaler option and Tx LO output buffer. This front end product has an adjustable performance and current consumption for both LNA and mixer blocks with off-chip resistor selection.

Contained in a 5 x 5mm leadless plastic package, the RF2498 has a 27.5 dB and 29 dB gain control range for cellular and PCS paths respectively. The RF2498 meets the demands of CDMA handset manufacturers by utilizing an innovative design featuring low current, high integration and state-of-the-art packaging.
