Narda, an L-3 Communications company, has introduced a high-performance four-way power divider for millimeter-wave applications that provides an unparalleled combination of low insertion loss, high isolation, and amplitude and phase stability. It is well suited for applications ranging from electronic warfare and electronic countermeasures to radar, communications systems, and test equipment.
The Model 4318-4 operates over a frequency range of 18 to 40 GHz, with insertion loss of 2.2 dB or less, isolation of at least 16 dB, amplitude balance of 1.2 dB or better, phase balance or 14 deg. or better, and input/output VSWR of 1.9:1 or less. The power divider can handle 3 W average power into a 1.2:1 VSWR, 5.0 W into a 2:1 VSWR, and 500 mW into an infinite load. It weighs only 1.4 oz (40 g), can operate over a temperature range of -54o to 105 C.
The power dividers have 2.92-mm connectors and are available for immediate delivery.
