Saelig Introduces Compact 150MHz Wideband Signal Amplifier
Ultra-small footprint wideband, DC-coupled amplifier for high frequency, low distortion, signal amplification.
Saelig Company, Inc. has announced the A10150 Wideband Signal Amplifier, a new high frequency module with more than 150MHz bandwidth and output of up to 20Vp-p into 50 ohms, with transition times of less than 1.8ns. Model A10150 HF Amplifier is an ultra-small footprint, wideband, DC-coupled signal amplifier designed for high frequency, low distortion waveform amplification.
The A10150 HF Amplifier was designed as a “snap-on” accessory for the Tabor WaveXciter Models WS8351/2, both having a maximum amplitude of 4Vp-p, which can be limiting for applications requiring higher drive voltages. The A10150 HF Amplifier gives the WS RF signal generators greater abilities for situations requiring up to 32Vp-p output into high impedance loads, without compromising signal integrity. While the A10150 HF Amplifier was designed as an add-on for Tabor’s award-winning signal sources, it can be used as a standalone amplifier for any signal source.
With the output current internally limited to 250mA, the A10150 is fully protected against ground shorting. Target applications include Ethernet testing, the characterization and verification of ASICs, FPGAs, and DACs, etc. The A10150 HF Amplifier’s standard configuration enables a maximum output voltage of 16Vp-p into 50 ohms with a gain of x5. An alternate version with x10 fixed gain and maximum voltage of 20Vp-p into 50 ohms is also available, giving more choices to solve application needs.
The A10150 comes with a factory-supplied power supply, which accepts any voltage from 100 to 240VAC. The A10150 HF Amplifier is the ideal complimentary amplifier to any high speed signal source that needs a power boost for demanding applications.
