Noise XT Announces LNS-18 Low Noise Synthesizer Featuring The Lowest Phase Noise On The Market Today

Booth #1021 - Noise eXtended Technologies (Noise XT) announced the LNS-18, a new general-purpose low noise synthesizer that features the lowest phase noise performance of any synthesizer on the market today. The LNS-18 is an ideal signal source for driving up- and down-converters for defense and space applications where phase noise is critical.

"Current synthesizers' best specifications in the X band are in the vicinity of ~125dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset. Noise XT's LNS-18 breaks the -130dBc/Hz barrier with our lower cost solution", said Guillaume de Giovanni, President, Noise XT.

About the LNS-18 Low Noise Synthesizer
The LNS-18 is a general-purpose synthesizer that exhibits outstanding phase noise performance. Its low noise oscillators generate a flexible frequency range up to 18 GHz. With -132 dBc/Hz at 10 GHz carrier and 20 kHz offset, the LNS-18 is designed to test the most advanced components and systems for demanding applications in military and aerospace applications. Optional level control, pulse modulation, GPIB, and low frequency extension down to 8 MHz using ultra-low noise frequency dividers (-165 dBc/Hz) are available in addition to Ethernet and EFC input.            

The LNS-18 has an output frequency of 4 to 18 GHz (with option for 8 MHz minimum), an output level of +13 dBm (+/-2 dB), and non-harmonic spurious of < -50 dBc from 1 Hz to 1 kHz offset and < -80 dBc above 1 kHz offset.
