11.01.12 -- Microwave Tube Market Is Still Strong As GaN Continues To Be An Outside Threat
Amplitude Modulation By National Instruments Corporation
Modulation is the process of varying a higher frequency carrier wave to transmit information. Though it is theoretically possible to transmit baseband signals (or information) without modulating it, it is far more efficient to send data by modulating it onto a higher frequency "carrier wave." Higher frequency waves require smaller antennas, use the available bandwidth more efficiently, and are flexible enough to carry different types of data.
The SZP-3026Z is a high linearity, 3.0 to 3.8 GHz, 2W, single stage, Class AB Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) amplifier housed in a proprietary surface-mountable plastic encapsulated package. The HBT amplifier is made with InGaP on GaAs device technology and fabricated with MOCVD for an ideal combination of low cost and high reliability.
