Aeroflex Supports ZUC Algorithm Verification In LTE Base Stations
TM500 LTE Test Mobile enables early adoption and verification of latest encryption algorithm by eNodeB vendors
Aeroflex Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aeroflex Holding Corp. announced recently that the Aeroflex TM500 LTE Test Mobile supports the ZUC encryption algorithm to ensure the security of user data. In the ZUC encryption algorithm test of TDD-LTE Stage-II large scale trial of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Aeroflex TM500 LTE Test Mobile tested and verified the eNodeB produced by the first Chinese manufacturer.
ZUC is a Chinese-written encryption algorithm that passed 3GPP plenary meeting in September 2011 and officially became the third encryption algorithm of LTE.
