Skyworks Appoints Donald W. Palette Chief Financial Officer

Woburn, MA -- Skyworks Solutions, Inc. announced that Donald (Don) W. Palette has joined Skyworks as vice president and chief financial officer. Palette, 50, most recently served as senior vice president of finance and controller of Axcelis Technologies, Inc., a publicly-traded company that supplies capital equipment to global semiconductor manufacturers. Prior to joining Axcelis, Palette held various financial executive management positions throughout his career at Simplex Corporation, Bell and Howell, and Publication Systems Company. Palette holds a B.B.A. degree in finance from Kent State University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Allan Kline, 62, who has been Skyworks' chief financial officer since 2004, will serve in an advisory role for a transitional period. Skyworks has significantly benefited from his financial experience and we wish him well in his retirement," said Aldrich.
