Miniature 0402 Schottky Diodes For Detector Applications

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. has introduced two miniature 0402 Schottky diodes for detector applications in handsets, WLAN, CATV Satcom, land mobile radios and infrastructure platforms. These small form factor and low profile discrete solutions in SMT packages are ideal for general purpose detector, sampling and mixer circuits. The new general market diodes are designed for high-volume commercial and industrial OEMs, ODMs and contract manufacturers – featuring low inductance, a small footprint and high barrier height.

SMS3924-040LF: 0402 Surface Mount Medium Barrier Schottky Diode

The SMS3924-040LF is a plastic packaged, surface mountable medium barrier Schottky diode designed for sensitive detector applications up to 10 GHz. The low capacitance of this diode (1 pF) combined with its low total resistance (10 O typical at 5 mA) make the SMS3924-040LF particularly well suited for sensitive detector circuits and medium-drive mixer circuits. The SMS3924-040LF is also available in a variety of plastic packages and configurations that include an SOT-23 (the SMS3924-005LF), a small footprint SC-79 (SMS3924-079LF), a miniature SC-70 (SMS3924-075LF), and as an unconnected pair in an SOT-143 (SMS3924-015LF).

The SMS3925-040LF is a plastic packaged, surface mountable medium barrier Schottky diode designed for sensitive detector applications up to 10 GHz. The low capacitance of this diode (0.35 pF) combined with its low total resistance (10 O typical at 10 mA) make the SMS3925-040LF particularly well suited for sensitive detector circuits and medium-drive mixer circuits. The SMS3925-040LF is also available as a small footprint SC-79 (SMS3925-079LF).
