Part of the Cerulean PacketCluster Patrol product suite, PacketWriter Field Reporting is a mobile information solution that gives your agency the combined benefits of real-time data collection and access to mission-critical information. Used in conjunction with other PacketCluster Patrol products, PacketWriter can improve the accuracy of field interviews, accelerate report preparation, simplify the review and approval process, and ensure more complete incident and accident reports.

By improving in-field officers' and supervisors' access to information from records management (RMS), computer-aided dispatch (CAD), and other applications wirelessly, PacketWriter enables reports to be created, reviewed, approved, and stored while field officers remain where they are most needed… in the field. Traditionally, officers and other field-based personnel return to headquarters to complete reports or access agency data systems for accurate, up-to-date information. Since more than three-fourths of a department's operating budget is typically consumed by personnel cost, it makes sense to equip officers with solutions that enable them to stay on patrol while meeting their reporting obligations.

STANDARDS-BASED FOR INTEROPERABILITY

Built on standard platforms and designed for modularity, all Cerulean solutions are architected to provide the highest degree of interoperability within the PacketCluster product suite as well as with third-party CAD and RMS applications. For instance, PacketWriter shares PacketCluster Patrol's powerful communications and data-query engines, so users need not leave the PacketCluster screen to perform other tasks, which simplifies operation and improves efficiency.
