BVS Receives Multiple Bluetooth Analyzer Orders

August 19, 2008

Metuchen, NJ - Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. has received multiple orders for their popular handheld Mantis Bluetooth analyzer.

"The government aerospace sector is constantly looking for ways to maintain wireless security and mitigate RF hackers of Bluetooth which aligns itself well to our Mantis Bluetooth analyzer. The Mantis is unique in that it scans the 2.4 GHz frequency band and report signal strength in real time, as well as provide (PER) Packet Error Rate, and the devices MAC Address. Since the Mantis both receives and transmits it has the ability to interrogate Bluetooth enabled devices and discover what device parameters and service levels they have access to. There is even a 'Privacy' mode that prevents other Bluetooth enabled devices from discovering the Mantis analyzer while you are interrogating them. " says Scott Schober, BVS President & CEO.

Mantis can also ship with an optional DF (Direction Finding) antenna for precise location and pinpointing of any Bluetooth device. BVS has been building and delivering Mantis transceivers all over the world for the past 7 years. Visit http://www.bvsystems.com for Mantis and many other 2.4 GHz handheld instruments.
